Aprylle
Aprylle began her study of the flute in Connecticut when she was nine. She subsequently studied with Henri Martin at the National Conservatory of Music in Dijon, France, and Evelyn Querfurth of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She also completed additional music studies at Keene State College and the University of Texas, Austin. Aprylle has played in orchestras and performed extensively as a soloist and with various ensembles. Outside of music, Aprylle is presently and elementary school guidance counselor.
Reed
Reed is a native of New Hampshire and began his guitar studies at the age of nine. His undergraduate studies in guitar were done under Bernard Hebb and Herbert Balzar at the Hamburg Conservatory of Music in Hamburg, Germany, and Otello Mauri in Florence, Italy. His graduate studies in guitar were done under Bernard Hebb at the Hochshule die Kunste in Bremen, Germany, where he was the first guitarist from a North German music college to be awarded Germany’s highest degree in musical performance. In 1974, he established a major in classical guitar at Keene State College (KSC), which, over the 15 years of his tenure, grew to a nationally respected program. He was the founder and conductor of the Classical Guitar Chamber Orchestra of KSC, with numerous national and international performances to his credit. Presently, Reed teaches musicianship and guitar privately and writes and publishes extensively for guitar in many combinations.
